Eastern Middle School hosted its 2nd Annual Gator Walk Fund-raiser on Oct. 16. Working in grade-level teams, students and Advisor Base teachers walked a two-mile loop around the school. Team prizes for creativity and school spirit were awarded to two teams from each grade, and all participants received a souvenir t-shirt, as well as chances to win raffle prizes. The annual walk-a-thon raises money for the EMS Student Activities Fund, which supports student clubs, sports, music programs and field trips. Prizes also were awarded for top individual and team fundraising.
