You saw her stunt down the red carpet during Greenwich Fashion on the Avenue last month. Now, Lauren DiNardo is bringing her apparel with a message to kids and adults alike.
“To be a part of a brand whose whole message is, ‘keep going!”, it’s a good reminder for myself also!” said DiNardo.
For Lauren, the message is simple – you’ve got what it takes.
“To Keep It Badass is to be positive. To be strong. To be someone who is a role model to others.”
And she wants to bring that message to kids.
“We are now launching “Keep It Strong” which is a brand that says the same thing and has the same message as “Keep It Badass”. It is something for our kids because more than ever, our kids need to be supported,” said DiNardo.
“To me, it is one way and one message to act as a reminder. Something that we are putting out there to say, ‘hey, it is here and you’ve got this.”
As for the models in her shows, they are the people who inspire her.
“After being in the fashion industry for quite some time, I realized the people who inspired me, the ones who we should be modeling ourselves after, are the ones who have gone through hard things. They have chosen to act from their heart, chosen to do something positive in the community and choose to bring people up by what they do in their lives and how they act; so the models then became those people.”
And those people have really impacted kids.
“I can’t tell you how many kids see this and say, ‘Cool! I want to feel like that!’ They see firemen, police officers, paramedics, people in the military, strong people out there wearing Keep It Badass, and they say ‘that’s what I want to be when I grow up.”
