
After a tough loss to cross-town rival Greenwich High on Thursday, the Brunswick School water polo team traveled to Deerfield Academy to take on New England Prep School Water Polo League rivals Andover and Exeter.
The Bruins returned home with two victories. They upended Andover 13-4 and then finished off Exeter 17-5. Brunswick’s New England Prep School League record improved to a perfect 5-0.
Against Andover, the Bruins were paced by Pat Stefanou’s six goals. Simon Derby added three goals, Will Prout had two goals, and Thacher Scannell and Christian Farricker each had one. Charlie Pang made two saves and Christian Hartch also had two saves.
In the Exeter game, Brunswick’s leading scorer was Derby, who led all scorers with six goals. Stefanou wasn’t far behind and finished with five goals. Nico Apostolides and Jack Muccia each pitched in with two goals. Will Prout and Max Kilberg each tallied once. Pang recorded seven saves and Hartch two.
Brunswick will return to action Wednesday when they host FCIAC school Staples High School at 4 p.m.
