Family Night at Bendheim Western Civic Center Set For Monday

MovieNight

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that Family Night will be outdoors at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center on Monday, Aug. 17.

Family Night will start at 7 p.m. with juggler Ned Gelfars. At approximately 7:45 p.m., the movie How to Train Your Dragon will be playing on a large 9 x 12 screen.

Comedian and juggler Gelfars was born in Brooklyn, where he first began throwing juggling balls into the air at the age of 12. Finally, at 15, he started catching them and now Ned rarely misses.

His fast-paced and extremely funny show includes juggling, unicycling and fire eating, plus lots of hilarious, good-natured audience participation.

Gelfars spontaneous and zany performance, often billed as “The Ned Show,” has been enjoyed in hundreds of venues by thousands of children and adults throughout the globe.

How To Train Your Dragon is a story of a hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons when he becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.

Bring your lawn chairs, a picnic dinner and the family and enjoy a fun night of entertainment under the stars.
