Peter R. Sciarrillo of Greenwich died on July 11 at the age of 89.
Born in Greenwich Nov. 8, 1925 to Peter and Josephine (Coppola) Sciarrillo, Peter was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Army Artillery during World War Two. While in the service, Peter fought at the Battle of the Bulge.
He returned home and became an entrepreneur and beautician as the owner of Peter’s Salon in Stamford.
He was the beloved brother of Anthony (sister-in-law Cookie) and of the late Frank (late sister-in-law Doris); and the cherished uncle of Anthony P., Rosemarie Califana, and Linda Bertino; and of the late Frank Jr. and Donna Marie Sciarrillo.
A funeral service was held in Greenwich on Tuesday, and interment took place on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rye Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
