Greenwich artist and instructor for Weir Farm National Historic Site, Dmitri Wright, will hold a book signing and exhibition on Thursday, June 18, from 6-8 p.m., at the Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan. He will discuss his book, My Dancing Brush: Insights & Reflections on How To Be an Impressionist, and talk about his philosophies and methods, and what he calls “the seven principles of the intuitive way.”
Wright is the first artist-in-residence at the Greenwich Historical Society, a birthplace of American Impressionism. His work is housed in many museums and corporate collections. He lives in Greenwich, where he also maintains a studio.
A portion of the proceeds of the sale of his book will go towards the Silvermine School of Art Scholarship Fund.
The Silvermine Arts Center is located at 1037 Silvermine Road in New Canaan.
