Old Greenwich-based Peace Community Chapel (PCC), which engages in various ministries throughout southern Fairfield County, is kicking off its newest fundraiser to support local shelters. Called a “Sock Hop” the campaign’s goal is designed to meet an ongoing need at shelters, which is maintaining a robust supply of socks for those who seek their services.
The goal is to collect as many new and gently used socks for children and adults as possible, now through April 19.
Shelters that will receive the sock donations include: Bridgeport Rescue Mission; Beth-El Center of Milford; New Covenant Center of Stamford and Pacific House of Stamford.
Those who are interested in supporting PCC’s “Sock Hop” can do so in three ways:
• Mail new or gently used adult and/or children’s socks to: Peace Community Chapel, 36 Arcadia Rd #506, Old Greenwich CT 06870.
- Make a donation via PCC’s PayPal page and the PCC team will use the funds toward a purchase of socks: paypal.me/peaceccog
- Visit PCC’s Amazon Smile page and order socks from its wish list: amzn.to/2JteIja
