Senior Art Workshop: Chinese Brushwork, Washes

Acclaimed teaching artist Dr. Louise Flax will be leading two workshops, each of which will focus on a different aspect of Chinese brushwork painting. Dr. Flax received training in brushwork at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the students explored Chinese Art. During her career as a public school teacher, Dr. Flax taught Asian painting at Roton Middle School and Brien McMahon HS. Her understanding of Chinese art is influenced by 23 years of practicing and (recently) teaching Taiji.
