Greenwich Sentinel Letter to the Editor Policy
The Greenwich Sentinel welcomes letters to the editor that provide thoughtful commentary and constructive dialogue on local issues. To ensure a robust and respectful exchange of ideas, we have established the following guidelines:
- Length: Letters should be concise, generally less than 500 words. We reserve the right to edit for clarity, length, and adherence to our guidelines.
- Relevance: Submissions must pertain to topics of public interest, particularly those related to Greenwich. Broader regional or national issues are rarely considered and only if they have direct local relevance.
- Tone: We encourage civil and respectful discourse. Letters containing personal attacks, offensive language, or unsupported accusations will not be published.
- Publication Rights: The Greenwich Sentinel reserves the right to decline publication of any letter. By submitting a letter, the writer grants us the right to publish it in print and online, as well as edit for length and clarity.
- Submission: Letters should be submitting using this form. Letters sent via email risk being missed but should have “Letter to the Editor” in the subject line.
We look forward to hearing from our readers and facilitating open dialogue on important community issues.
