"Visual Voices" Exhibit Honoring Black History Month Opens

February 7, 2016 @ 11:00 am

Free

Randy Williams, a great chronicler of life, memories and dreams, will exhibit his works on paper at Les Beaux Arts Gallery in honor of Black History month. The exhibit will open on Sunday, Feb. 7 and run through March 17. Mr. Williams will discuss his work at a gallery talk on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 11:30 a.m.

Williams is a versatile artist; his wood installations are very complex and his works on paper are fairly abstract with rhythmical strokes of color. He draws his inspiration from his personal experiences in life and memories of his difficult childhood. He believes that a work of art should respond to the aesthetic needs of the artist and have intellectual and meditative qualities.

Les Beaux Arts Gallery is located at the Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Road. The Gallery is open Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon; Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and closed Saturday. The Gallery will also be closed Monday, Feb. 15. Admission to the gallery and the gallery talk are free.
