The Nantucket Project Library Series Lecture- The Aging Brain: Use It or Lose It, with Dr. Richard Lipton

FreeThe Nantucket Project (TNP) Library provides a second home for curious people to hear stories, attend screenings, readings and hear leaders speak throughout the year in an intimate setting. TNP will hold two programs in November:
The Aging Brain: Use It or Lose It – On Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7pm, the tnp library welcomes Dr. Richard Lipton, Vice Chair of Neurology and the Director of Cognitive Aging and Dementia at Albert Einstein College of Medicine to discuss how we can prevent the aging of our brains. He will lead a discussion on research and effectiveness of current interventions for healthy individuals to prevent or treat the aging of our brains.
We Live in Public – On Thursday, Nov. 17, the tnp library presents a film screening of the documentary We Live in Public, followed by an interview with it’s subject Josh Harris. The question of the evening is: Do we have any privacy left? We Live in Public is a 2009 Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning documentary a documentary by acclaimed director Ondi Timoner. Timoner documented Harris’ tumultuous life for more than a decade, to create a riveting cautionary tale of what to expect as the virtual world inevitably takes control of our lives.
