Talk: “Forty Autumns, a Tale of Family, the Iron Curtain, and Spycraft”

September 13, 2017 @ 11:00 am

Free

Speaker, author and former U.S. Army Intelligence officer Nina Willner, tells the story of what happened to one family during the Cold War. It is a story of a divided Germany – of eighteen million people trapped in a country knowing that freedom lay just beyond its borders – and about the four decade clash of communism and democracy, the Soviet-American superpower fight for dominance in the space race, the nuclear arms race and battles around the globe that brought the world to the brink of nuclear war.
The Greenwich Retired Men’s Association (RMA) offers a free program every Wednesday at 11 a.m. that is open to the public; no reservations are required. For more information, contact info@greenwichrma.org
