Join us in the Greenwich Library Meeting Room for a photo lecture with Greenwich’s own renowned editorial photographer and former Ebony Magazine staff photographer, Fred Watkins (GHS class of 1972). Fred started as a paparazzo in New York City before covering  the White House, Capitol Hill, celebrities and national events for almost 30 years. Fred will share his many experiences during exclusive shoots with heads of state, celebrities, and television reality shows.  One of his most exclusive photo shoots involved President Clinton with Nelson Mandela in Mandela’s prison cell on Robben Island in South Africa.  Watkins has stories to tell about his experiences in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, his travels with President George W. Bush, his adventures on the set of Good Morning American and his challenges while covering the talk show, Fox News Sunday, on Fox News. Q & A to follow.
