Spirituality and Dementia Care

Maria Scaros-Mercado will present an interactive seminar, Spirituality and Dementia Care, on Wednesday, April 26 from 6 to 7:30pm at First Presbyterian Church Greenwich. Maria is the Executive Director of The Greens at Greenwich who is sponsoring the seminar. Having worked with people living with dementia for over 20 years, she has come to understand the importance of spiritual care in a person with dementia’s wellbeing. She is a licensed creative arts therapist, a board certified clinical chaplain, pastoral counselor, and certified dementia practitioner. The workshop is open to the community—caregivers, health professionals, clergy, family members and anyone interested in the power of the human spirit.
