Senior Art Workshop: Value Focused Painting

This two-hour-long workshop, for adults over the age of 55, will use the works of Danish artist Laurits Andersen Ring as inspiration for a deep dive into the emotional effects of color in painting.  Participants will receive a 30 minute guided introduction to Ring’s use of color to evoke mood and emotion in his work, led by Manager of School and Community Partnerships, Corinne Flax.  The tour will be followed by a 90-minute painting workshop led by teaching artist Eddie Nino.  During the workshop, Nino will assist students in using color in their own paintings.  All materials will be provided, and light refreshments will be served.
