PUT’S RIDE – REVOLUTIONARY DAYS!

Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!   Please join us on February 26th from 1-3pm at Knapp Tavern Museum at Putnam Cottage. Experience the life and times of soldiers, both Patriots, and Loyalists, during the American War for Independence.  Learn all about General Putnam’s famous ride down Putnam Hill. Other attractions include:  Military encampments, Soldiers performing tactical exercises, A battlefield surgeon, General Putnam and his horse, Colonial ladies’ dress exhibit, Music – Fiddles, Fifes, Drums
At 3pm author, Robert Ernest Hubbard will join us to discuss his new book “Major General Israel Putnam, Hero of the American Revolution”
We are located at 243 East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich.  Admission is $5 per person/$20 per family.  Proceeds are used to assist in the preservation of Knapp Tavern Museum/Putnam Cottage. This event is sponsored by the Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
