Proforestation – Mitigates Climate Change and Enhances our Wellbeing

March 25, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Increased carbon sequestration by forests is required to increase negative emissions and stabilize COlevels — an urgent goal to protect biodiversity and avert catastrophic tipping points. Global restoration of trees has recently been identified as the most powerful tool available to reduce emissions. Protecting forests is also the most effective means for supporting public wellbeing — especially brain health. Are we ready for proforestation?

Speaker: Susan Masino, the Vernon Roosa Professor of Applied Science at Trinity College
