Pianist John O'Conor returns with Beethoven

The Greenwich Symphony brings back Irish pianist John O’Conor on October 1 and 2 to perform the beloved Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4. O’Conor has gathered wonderful reviews over the course of his career since winning first prize at the International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna in 1973. He last played with the Greenwich Symphony in 2008. Also on the program are Mozart’s Divertimento, K.131, and Stravinsky’s Danses Concertantes.
Concerts take place at the new Performing Arts Center at Greenwich High School. A free pre-concert lecture will be given one hour before the performance. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for students. For information call 203-869 2664 or see greenwichsym.org.
