Painting with Dr. Flax: Chrysanthemums

Dr. Flax returns to the Bruce with a workshop focused on painting chrysanthemums. The chrysanthemum, or ‘kiku’ in Japanese, is one of the “Four Gentleman”—one of the four plants used to teach brush painting techniques and a motif frequently featured in Japanese prints, paintings and poems. This class will focus on the technical brushwork used to create chrysanthemums.

Reservations are required, the cost is $10 for members, $15 for non members.
