On Your Mark, Get Set, Plant!

April 18th officially marks this year’s spring frost free date. Typically this is the first safe day to plant new trees, shrubs and perennials as the ground thaws out and the winter winds fade into the past. Note that the probability of a frost occurring after the spring frost date is 30%, which means that there is still a slight chance of frost.
