Movies from Around the World: "Mustang"

Bring your friends and family to the Byram Shubert Library for an evening screening of the oscar nominated film, Mustang. This film explores the lives of five orphaned sisters in a coastal village in Turkey. When their innocent games with neighborhood boys provoke a local scandal, their guardians react by reining them in. The family home turns into a prison, classes on housework and cooking replace school, and marriages begin to be arranged. But the sisters, united in their desire for freedom, fight back against the limits imposed on them.
