Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum to reopen

July 29, 2020 @ 12:00 pm

$6 – $10

After temporarily closing on March 23, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is pleased to announce that it will reopen for tours at noon on Wed., July 29, 2020. While most of the programming for youth and adults throughout the season will be offered virtually, and be either live-streamed or recorded, the Museum will offer tours of its galleries on a limited basis. 45-minute tours of the first floor period rooms will be available on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Due to the continued threat of COVID-19 and to achieve safe distancing measures, the tour capacity will be reduced and all tickets must be purchased online, through the Museum’s website: www.lockwoodmathewsmansion.com/programs. Walk-ins will not be accepted until further notice.
The exhibition, About Women, in collaboration with Silvermine Arts Center will mark the physical reopening of LMMM’s galleries and celebrate women’s artistic contributions as they are finding their voices and making an impact throughout the professional world. The exhibition will open on Wed., July 29 and run through Sun., January 3, 2021. Admission to the exhibition will be included with the purchase of a tour ticket and be subject to museum tour schedules and rules.
