KIC IT Triathlon, 5K and 10K Race Set for This Weekend

Hundreds of adults and kids are going to take on the challenge of one of the region’s largest multi-sports events, the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon, 5K and 10K race this weekend. On Saturday, the KIC IT Kids Triathlon will get underway at 7:30 a.m. On Sunday, the day gets underway with the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Olympic Triathlon at 7 a.m. and 18 minutes later, the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Sprint Triathlon will step off. Finally at 10 a.m., the Navigators Stamford KIC IT 5K and 10K races get underway. All races throughout the weekend start at Cummings Beach. From 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, the Family Festival will be open to the public. The event will benefit Kids in Crisis and the programs and services it provides to Fairfield County families and kids experiencing difficulties of all kinds. Kids in Crisis is working to overcome a $750,000 state budget cut.
