Hot Shot Basketball Takes Place Feb. 1 at Central Middle School

Think you have the skills to dream about playing against Lebron James or Steph Curry in the NBA? Then the Greenwich Parks & Recreation office has something to put on the calendar.  The Hot Shots Basketball Competition on Monday, Feb. 1 at the Central Middle School gym. The competition starts at 6:30 p.m. and will run until conclusion. This event is open to boys and girls aged nine to 15 as of Dec. 31, 2015. There are three age categories, nine- to 10-years-old, 11- to 12-years-old and 13 to 15 years of age, with separate divisions for boys and girls. The younger age categories will compete at the earlier times. The winners in each category will advance to the State Meet in Old Saybrook on Saturday, April 2. Registration may also be done by mail. Registration at the Recreation Division Office takes place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration will remain open until program is filled or until Tuesday, Jan.26.
