Greenwich High Girls Golf Takes on Staples High at 3:30

The Greenwich High School girls golf team returns to the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course today at 3:30 for a match against FCIAC foe Staples High School. So far, the Lady Cardinals have had yet another strong season, going 12-1 overall this season. On senior day, GHS had another strong showing, upendingFairfield Warde High School 172-188. As a team, Big Red finished with a nine-hole total of 172, the lowest team score this season at The Griff Playing on The Griff, a par 37 nine-hole course, GHS was led by Catherine McEvoy, who hit a blistering 3-under par 34 on the day. Her score of 34 was a new Greenwich High School record for The Griff. Ashley Feighery wasn’t far behind, as she had a strong showing and grabbed a 3-over par 40 on the day. Tess Lamhaouar also had a solid performance, carding a 8-over par 45. Rounding out the four golfers for GHS was Gracie Sunoo, who ended the day with a 53.
