Greenwich High Boys' Tennis Hosts Huge FCIAC Match-Up with Staples

The Greenwich High School boys’ tennis team has seen a lot of Staples High School recently, as both teams have been fighting for top spots in both the FCIAC and state tournaments. The Cardinals and Wreckers will renew its rivalry today at 4 when they battle at the Greenwich High tennis courts. Both teams are off to fast starts are at the top of the conference standings. If recent history is any indicator, it should be a great meet. Both teams have been in the conference championship match since 2011. Big Red beat Staples in 2011, 2012 and 2013 to win the FCIAC title, while Staples beat Greenwich the previous three seasons to claim FCIAC gold.
