Greenwich Boys Swimming and Diving to Take on Darien

After a solid performance against both Danbury and Staples high schools, the Greenwich High School boys swimming and diving team will be back in action today at 3:30 p.m. when they battle FCIAC rivals Darien High School. Come out to the GHS pool and cheer on your undefeated Cardinals as they look to keep the good times rolling against the Blue Wave. Against Staples, Jack Montesi held off Staples’ Nico Ortego in the 200-yard freestyle to win by a couple of seconds. In the 200-yard IM it was a three-man race, with Aedan Lewis touching the wall a tenth of a second ahead of Staples’ Dash Hunter. Big Red’s Nick Handali was third, but only six-tenths of a second away from Hunter.
