On Thursday, April 10, 2025, 6-8 p.m., The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will kick-off its 2025 Lecture Series with, Gilded Age Properties: Sneak Peek at the Holdings of the Lockwoods & Mathews featuring Trustee and financial expert Kathy Olsen, CPA, who is currently a Director of Green Brick Partners, Inc. (NYSE: GRBK), a diversified homebuilding and land development company. The talk will be held at The Great Hall at HMTX Industries, 27 Seir Hill Rd., Norwalk, CT. To reserve tickets, attendees can visit the Events page on the Museum’s website at www.lockwoodmathewsmansion.com/events. Admission is $15 for members, $20 for non-members. Light refreshments will be offered following the presentation.

Through family letters, artifacts, handwritten notes, dusty newspaper accounts, tax records, wills, and deeds, Kathy Olsen, with a small team of Mansion researchers, was able to piece together the fascinating history of the holdings of two renowned Gilded Age families. Chairman of the Board Douglas Hemsptead said, “This revealing talk, which span generations, will uncover family assets, surprising beneficiaries, and secret scandals. Ms. Olsen, who has an outstanding financial background and is also a docent at LMMM promises an exciting talk with never-before-seen images from our archives.”

Ms. Olsen has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. From 1999 through 2011, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Eminence Capital, LP, a long/short global equity fund and from 1993 to 1999 as audit manager, specializing in investment partnerships at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP, a public accounting firm located in New York City. Kathy received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the State University of New York at Albany and is presently an adjunct professor at Fordham University.

LMMM’s Lecture Series is sponsored in part by Designer/Artist/Author Gail Ingis. A special thanks to HMTX for hosting this event.
