General George Washington Arrives on Horseback at Putnam Cottage

Outdoor reenactment of General George Washington and three travel companions arriving on horseback at Putnam Cottage. The Second Continental Light Dragoons will also participate in this historical reenactment. The Boy Scouts of America will do the raise raising. First Selectman Fred Camillo will be present to conduct ceremonial honors. This event is organized to commemorate General George Washington’s visit to Putnam Cottage on April 12th 1776 — exactly 250 years ago to the day.
