Friends Friday Films: Trumbo

There’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Trumbo (2015, directed by Jay Roach). Screenwriter Dalton Trumbo incurs the wrath of anti-communist forces in the 50s when he refuses to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee. Tense and intimate inside look at Hollywood at that time. Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.
