Friends Friday Film & Flinn Gallery Art Double Feature – Summer Hours (L'Heure D'Ete): Summer Hours (L'heure D'ete)
February 10, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
FreeThere’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Summer Hours (L’heure D’ete) (2015, directed by Olivier Assayas). A French country-house reunion brings together a family scattered around the globe. A houseful of antiques, paintings and objects must be decided upon by an elderly woman’s adult children while there is still time. Moving, insightful, lighter than air and deeper than deep.
In French with English subtitles.
This Friends “Art Double Feature” complements the Flinn Gallery’s exhibition “Art in Bloom” (Jan. 26-Mar. 8), which will be open for extended hours from 6-8pm, until showtime. Check out the gallery and then head to the screening of SUMMER HOURS (L’HEURE D’ETE) (FRANCE 2008).
Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.
