Friends Friday Films: Spotlight

There’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Spotlight (2015, directed by Tom McCarthy). Based on the 2002 Boston Globe newspaper investigation into decades worth of child abuse claims against the Catholic Church. Resistance took many forms. The film won two Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.
