Founders Day 2016

July 18, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Free

Come to Greenwich Point to celebrate Founders Day 2016 with the rest of the town. The dedication on Founders Day in 2016 is in keeping with First Selectman Wilbur M. Peck’s proclamation on July 18, 1947 that every year afterwards Greenwich residents should pause on that day to remember the Town’s 17th century founding families and their legacies. The bronze plaque has been mounted on a large boulder at a site just beyond the northern end of the public beach on a bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. Refreshments will be served at Innis Arden Cottage immediately after the dedication.
Please park in the lot near the second concession stand and take the path that runs alongside the concession stand and then bends left out to the bluff along the shore.
