Great Captain Island & Island Beach

Greenwich is home to two islands situated roughly two miles off Greenwich Harbor, Great Captain Island, and Island Beach.

The Town has three ferries that provide transportation from Greenwich Harbor out to the islands from the beginning of June through mid-September; the Island Beach, Indian Harbor, and Islander II.

What you Need to Take the Ferry

• Seasonal Park Pass/ Single Entry Ticket
• Parking Pass (included with Seasonal Park Pass, if vehicle registered in Greenwich) / Ticket
• Ferry Ticket

Park & Ferry Fees

Passes are required for access to the islands by all visitors five years and older.  A resident seasonal Park Pass or a Single-Entry Park Ticket is needed to purchase a ferry ticket at the Arch Street Ferry Dock.

Once the designated ferry parking section is full, parking tickets must be purchased at the kiosk in the lot to park in the day parking section

The Cruise to Nowhere is a relaxing two-hour tour of local waters. Tickets are sold at the Arch Street Dock beginning at 10 am on the day of the cruise. A maximum of two tickets per transaction. Limited availability. Bring a friend and refreshments!
