Dust Under Her Feet is a historical novel set in a Calcutta nightclub during WWII. In a Zoom meeting, author Sharbari Ahmed told ICC that Dust Under Her Feet is a story of sisterhood that challenges the conventional thinking about women in 1940’s India. Well researched, Sharbari has created an atmospheric story that recounts the strength of the Bengalis during the turbulence of WWII under the British Raj.

Sharbari Zohra Ahmed is a Bangladeshi American writer. She is known for being a writer on ABC’s Quantico. She is also a playwright and author. As a Darien resident and professor at Manhattanville, Sharbari is a neighbor.
