Film Screening of the Original Documentary Dream, Girl (~60 minutes)
Dream, Girl is a documentary film about female entrepreneurs of every age and color. The entrepreneurs share their stories, their successes, and their fears. Produced and Directed by Erin Bagwell and Komal Minhas, the film screened for the first time at the White House. Erin and Komal were thrilled to be named two of Oprah’s Super Soulers for 2016. There will be a discussion after with Tracy Killoren Chadwell and Fran Pastore who will talk about what it is like being a woman and starting a business.
About the Panelists:
Tracy Killoren Chadwell is a Founding Partner of 1843 Capital. 1843 Capital is a venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in technology and CPG companies with at least one female founder. Tracy has over 14 years experience in venture capital and private equity and was a Partner of Baker Capital. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the MIT Enterprise Forum and an Executive Advisor for The Echoing Green Foundation. Tracy is a frequent speaker at events like the Wonder Woman Summit and is a frequent judge of startup competitions. Most recently she was a judge for the Cornell (Johnson) Business School Women in Tech Competition and an UBER/Pitch competition. Fran Pastore is Founder, President & CEO at Women’s Business Development Council. Fran is a devoted catalyst for women, families, and communities with an emphasis on economic self-reliance through small business training, financial education and professional development.
