Distinguished Lecture Series – Caregiving: “When the Time Comes”

Veteran journalist Paula Span writes the New Old Age, a column on aging and caregiving, for the New York Times. Her book, When the Time Comes: Families with Aging Parents Share Their Struggles and Solutions, was published in 2009. She will be speaking on the topic of caregiving; the options for seniors and the tasks for their families. Included in the program will be information about home care, day programs, various kinds of facilities and geriatric care managers. Paula will also discuss the need for socialization for older people and support for their families.
