Dazzling Dragonflies

July 24, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

$10

From Dragons to Damsels, these insects are a welcome sight in our summer landscape. Dragonflies are incredibly beneficial insects to have around us, as they feed on a number of insects including flies that can otherwise become pests in our backyards and gardens. Join Audubon naturalist Ryan MacLean online for a special webinar about the lives of both the Dragonflies and Damselflies that inhabit our wetlands. Then we will venture outside to conduct a virtual Dragonfly Survey in the meadows and around Georgie’s Pond at Greenwich Audubon Center. This will be an exciting way to experience nature and also contribute to Community Science data on dragonfly populations.

  • Program Fee: Several ticket levels available, beginning at $10
