Awaiting Winter Walk

After the foliage fireworks of autumn, most people aren’t interested in the natural beauty of trees in the winter. They often think of the winter forest as a monochromatic stand of brown and grey trunks, but on this guided walk through the 40-acre Lapham Preserve, we will discuss ways to look closer at the diverse features of bark, branches, and buds to see a varied winter landscape.
The walk covers mostly flat, but some mixed terrain. Sturdy, waterproof footwear along with warm clothes are recommended. Please bring a mask, as all current health and safety guidelines will be utilized.
Space is limited to 10 people and pre-registration is required.
