Audubon Center Birding Field Trip to Sherwood Island State Park

March 19, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Westport’s Sherwood Island State Park hosts a variety of great coastal habitat, making it a crucial Important Bird Area for the State of Connecticut and a great first field trip of the year. Loons, Grebes, Ducks and Gulls  are just a few birds you can expect to see along the beach while the park’s wooded areas often host wintering songbirds, Hawks and Owls. If our time allows we’ll also stop at 14-Acre Pond in Norwalk to look for migrating ducks. Depart from Audubon Greenwich at 8:30 AM or meet at 9 AM at Sherwood Island Pavilion Parking Lot. Trip led by Ryan MacLean and Stefan Martin.
Birders age 6 & up.
To RSVP for this free trip, contact Ryan at 914-417-5234 or rmaclean@audubon.org
