Ashforth Children's Concert Series and Curiosity Concerts Present Argus Quartet @ Byram Shubert
December 10, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The dynamic Argus Quartet (quartet in residence at the Yale School of Music) is dedicated to reinvigorating the audience-performer relationship through new and innovative concert presentations of diverse repertoire – connecting with and building up a community of engaged listeners. Formed in the summer of 2013, Argus receives invitations from concert series throughout the United States and abroad. Recent performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall, Laguna Beach Live!, Encinitas’ Music By The Sea, the Hear Now Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, the Birdfoot Festival, and the Cello Biënnale Amsterdam. The quartet has also won several competitions including the Beverly Hills Consortium and the MTAC San Diego Competition. Visit www.argusquartet.com.
Tickets are required and can be reserved at no charge at www.curiosityconcerts.org. Please reserve only if you are certain to attend, as the concerts are often oversubscribed.
The Ashforth Concert Series is designed to introduce children to classical music performance. The concert is open to the public at no charge through the support of Georgie and Henry A. Ashforth. Curiosity Concerts, now in its fourth season, is a series of free family concerts featuring professional musicians and designed for children of any age who can enjoy one hour of music. It is a project of the Greenwich Arts Council.
