Art on the Avenue

Now celebrating its Twenty-fourth Year “Art to the Avenue 2021” is vitally important to the 100 artists and the 35 merchants in Greenwich who are participating this year! Both benefit from many people visiting the Greenwich Avenue for the month of May to see the art in the stores, restaurants, and other businesses. Each participating retailer had the opportunity to view and select through the online gallery the art work that will be displayed at their store. Soon after they made their choice, the retailers work with the artists directly to select the works that would be on display during the month of May in their location. This “match” is one of the signature aspects of GAC’s “Art to Avenue” that makes it like no other in the area. The artists are from all over Westchester, as well as from CT as far up as Seymour and throughout the eastern part of the state.

Due to the pandemic, this year’s Art to the Avenue will be a little different and no parties will take place on opening day, yet we invite the public to enjoy the art in the participating stores as well as to visit a celebration exhibit in our Bendheim Gallery (by appointment) with all of the artists participating in this year’s event. The Exhibition will be also virtual, for those who wish to view it from home.

Art to the Avenue will run in the participating retailers from May 6 through the 31st, and in our Bendheim Gallery from May 6 to June 10. Please email info@greenwichartscouncil.org to schedule your visit
