Air Quality — Is Connecticut the Tailpipe of the Nation?

March 11, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Fairfield County suffers from the highest level of ozone in the New York City metro area, according to the American Lung Association. Ozone, commonly known as smog, is a hazardous form of gas formed by combustion byproducts. Unhealthy air is driven by emissions from power plants and extreme heat as a result of climate change, placing our health and lives at risk. What are the consequences to our health and the environment? How can we avoid them?

Speaker: Dr. David Hill, MD, FCCP American Lung Association.
