Elizabeth Anne Bigley, Liz to her friends, passed away peacefully at Greenwich Hospital surrounded by her family after a 25 year battle with Breast Cancer.

Elizabeth was born in Bronxville, NY to Rosalie Kay Doviken Bigley and James M. Bigley Sr. of Mount Vernon, NY. She graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School, received her Bachelor’s from Iona College and her Master’s from Fordham University. Liz enjoyed a successful career in finance at Manufacturers Hanover Bank, Chrysler Capital, Bank Leumi, and Hitachi Capital America where she met her life partner of 20 years Mark Doppstadt.

Liz became an expert in cancer care battling her recurrence of Stage 4 cancer for 20 years. She had a team of experts led by Dr. D.B.Boyd of Greenwich Hospital, Dr. A. Narayana of Northwell Mt. Kisco, and Dr. J. Susman of Columbia Presbyterian NYC, each of who deliver the maximum dosage of hope with their bespoke care. She thanks all the many doctors, nurses and staff who lovingly helped in her care. Equally important has been the mighty power of prayer and the power of her visit to Lourdes, France. Love of God, family and country were the bedrock of her life and she tried to enjoy every day by keeping a positive attitude and always staying on offence, always keep fighting the good fight.

She loved great food and restaurants and traveling our great country: San Francisco, Las Vegas, Amelia and Marco Islands and NYC were her favorites.

She is survived by her mother Rosalie Kay Bigley, her fiancé William Mark Doppstadt, her beloved dog Snoopy, her stepdaughter Sarah Chmielecki, husband Kyle and grandchildren Madelyn and William, her brother James M. Bigley Jr., his wife Gail and her favorite niece Emma and favorite nephew Matthew, her brother John C. Bigley, her Aunt Kathy Bigley, Bernhard Konrad and many numerous cousins and friends.
