The Greenwich Police Department has issued a phone call scam alert after receiving several reports from residents.

“We are getting reports that someone purporting to be Sgt. William Larkin of the Greenwich Police Department has been calling numerous residents and telling them they have an arrest warrant filed for them, and need to respond to the Police Department to have it served,” the GPD posted on social media Saturday.

“Sgt. Larkin is NOT calling residents and telling them they have an arrest warrant. This is a scam.”
