Bedford Playhouse is thrilled to host an incredibly special Q&A discussion with New York Times bestselling author, film producer and TED Talks speaker, Dr. Andrew Solomon, as he examines the mental health crisis caused by the COVID-19 outbreak on Sunday, July 12th at 8pm via Zoom.

Dr. Solomon is a writer and lecturer on psychology, politics, and the arts; winner of the National Book Award; and an activist in LGBT rights, mental health, and the arts. He is Professor of Clinical Medical Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University Medical Center, and a former President of PEN American Center. His book, Far From The Tree, has received the National Book Critics Circle award for nonfiction, the Wellcome Prize and 22 other national awards. Dr. Solomon’s writing is frequently published in The New Yorker, New York Times, Travel & Leisure, ArtForum, The Guardian and NPR. His most famous and award-winning book, A Noonday Demon won the National Book Award and is translated into languages across the globe.
