Brunswick Soccer Earns 3-3 Tie Against Millbrook School

The Brunswick School soccer team traveled to the Millbrook School and came away with a 3-3 draw Wednesday afternoon.

The Bruins took a 1-0 lead into the half following a deep ball from Sal Lopez at midfield to the foot of Jack Stephenson for the one time finish in the 38th minute.

The scoring continued just three minutes after the break, with Lopez again finding the open man in Nick Boardman, who put a shot side netting past the Millbrook goal keeper for the 2-0 lead.

Millbrook finally got on the board quickly following a corner quick in the 70th minute, and then tied the game up on a penalty kick three minutes later.

Brunswick responded immediately to take back the lead, as Alex Buckanavage sent a cross into the six that was finished off the head of Stephenson for his second goal of the match.

However we couldn’t hold this lead, as Millbrook put way the final game-tying goal with seven minutes remaining off a free kick from 25 yards out.

On Saturday evening Brunswick School returns home for its Breast Cancer Awareness match against Worcester Academy under the lights of Caputo Field.
