Knights of Columbus Greenwich hosts Huntington’s Disease walk

walk

Caring Hands 4 Huntington’s Disease and the Knights of Columbus Greenwich Council are hosting their fifth annual charity walk for Huntington’s Disease on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. at Cove Island Park in Stamford.

Money raised helps families pay for at-home health care and other medical costs not covered by insurance for individuals suffering from Huntington’s Disease. Donations are tax-deductible thanks to the financial partnership between the Knights of Columbus Greenwich Council and Caring Hands 4 Huntington’s Disease.

Eda Wolack, lifetime Greenwich resident and longtime town employee, and her family established Caring Hands 4 Huntington’s Disease after losing several family members to the disease. The family says they are dedicated to increasing awareness about Huntington’s Disease, as well as raising funds for the considerable costs associated with living with the disease.
