Arguimbau Art Gallery Opens

November 9, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

After hosting art receptions in his back Greenwich studio for 25 years, Peter Layne Arguimbau is bringing his collection of classic yachts, local seascapes and harbors, portraits, animals and Venice to Greenwich Avenue. The community is invited to an opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m.
Arguimbau has collected this body of work over a lifetime with subjects from the Tall Ships series in New York, including his masterful seven-foot painting of the Brooklyn Bridge, to the Eggemoggin Reach Wooden Boat Classic in Brooklyn, Maine. Much of his maritime inspiration comes from sailing on his 1935 wooden catboat, ‘Molly Rose’. In his studio, he paints portraits and animals on commission, as well as special vistas.
Gallery hours are: Sunday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, contact Kim Ferraro, 203-274-6176, ArguimbauArt@gmail.com
