How to Run a Successful Non-Profit
This workshop is the second in a two-part series on nonprofits. The session focuses on key components for operating a successful nonprofit organization. Best practices and risks to success will be identified. The program will cover:

Presenters: Marjolijn Baxendale and Valerie Williams
Marjolijn Baxendale. Over the past decades Marjolijn has led non-profits organizations, both as a professional as well as a volunteer. Sitting at both sides of the table has given her a unique perspective on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats leaders in the non-profit world should be aware of.
Marjolijn has been a board director for Tri-State United Way, Executive Director of United Way, Westport and Weston until 2009 and founder of Links.org
Valerie Williams received her undergraduate degree from Western CT State University. She began her career at Fairfield Hills Hospital, a state run psychiatric institution for the mentally ill.
Since 2006 Valerie Williams has been Executive Director of Keystone House, Inc, a non-profit in Norwalk, CT. Keystone provides residential services, case management and social support to over 250 adults with mental illness. Current staff numbers 43 with a Board of 10.
